Default no sound?!

I just installed office home and student 2007...and i think it messed up my
sound drivers....I have no sound whatsoever..i try playing a song and it says
" bad directsound driver....can anyone help me I dont understand how to fix
this!!

Go to the website for your sound card and get the latest drivers.
