Clearing messages not downloaded in news group
I subscribe to a news group (alt.binaries.pictures.fine-art) and recently I get that 139 messages
are not downloaded. I can clear that number with the "catch up" option in properties, but it keeps coming back. What steps should I take to completely clear this number. I have already tired: Download the next 1000 headers. reset (to get all the messages again.) synchronize all messages unsubscribe and presubscribed I have not tried: Removing the news group account (a private account for my ISP). Then resetting the account back up and resubscribing. Thanks for any thoughts or fixes. |

Clearing messages not downloaded in news group
It could just be a bug with the server, but.....
Uncheck Get XXX headers at a time. Then Tools | Options | Maintenance | Clean Up Now. Select the newsgroup at the top and then Reset. When the messages are downloaded, follow up with a Compact. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Richard in AZ" wrote in message ... Clearing messages not downloaded in news group
Thanks Bruce. The unchecking the get XXX headers at a time seem to do it.
