Default Milestones on a timeline

Why is this so hard?

I want to resize my timeline so it is wider so multiple workstreams can be
added to it. However, when I do that the milestone re-size with the timeline
and become ridiculously large. Annoying.

Secondly and more infuriatingly, when I try and position milestones to
represent the workstreams (e.g. top workstream is sales team, middle one is
HR, etc.) the milestone is automatically 'snapped' back into position. I have
no control where on the timeline it is positioned (other than the date)...

It's all pretty lame.... I'm using Visio 2003

Thanks for your help...

Use just one workstream per timeline.
