VISIO internal error: #2132
I am using Visio Professional 2003 SP2.
I've been working on a drawing for the last two weeks. Yesterday, I saved the file and then after the save was complete I undocked my laptop. As sometimes happens during undocking the laptop rebooted. Now when I try to open the file I get the following error message: VISIO internal error: #2132 Action 1283: Open file I've tried closing the file, closing VISIO, rebooting the PC, but still I get this error. From the posts it seems this is a common error. Have I lost all my work? Is there any way to recover? |

VISIO internal error: #2132
Hi WAB,
It's possible that the drawing is damaged. See http://support.microsoft.com:80/kb/826418/en-us for a Knowledge Base article on troubleshooting damaged drawings. There might be method included in this article which will allow you to open and recover the drawing. I hope this helps. -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. VISIO internal error: #2132
If that article didn't help, then it appears your drawing is corrupted
beyond use. The 2132 error indicates a mismatch between the file contents and the size information in the header. Which just means that some portion of the drawing file is no longer present, and the remaining information cannot be decoded without it. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. How did the file come to be corrupted? Barb Way Product Support - Visio Microsoft Corporation This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. |
