create a field that must be filled in by user
I have an edit record form and I want to force the user to enter notes in the note field every single time they make a change to any of the other fields.

Build code in the beforeupdate event that checks the form to see if it is
dirty. If it is, and the Note.value and Note.oldvalue are equal, pop up an error and cacel the update. "Tony" wrote in message ... I have an edit record form and I want to force the user to enter notes in the note field every single time they make a change to any of the other fields. |
