Default Wither Open Document Management API?

The Open Document Management API (ODMA) was (is) intended
to simplify integration and interoperability of standard
desktop applications such as MS Word with document
management systems. According to the ODMA web
Page, "Using ODMA, desktop applications access and
manipulate documents carried in document management
systems as easily as if they are residing in the locally-
accessible file system."

Microsoft issued a press release touting the ODMA
compliance of WWord 97 and I think they did once again
with Word 2000. Since then, the term ODMA seems to have
disappeared from the Microsoft vocabulary. The document
management software my organization purchased is ODMA
aware. Is this of any use in future considerationn when
trying to manage Word 2003 documents in my organization.

I would suggest that you talk to the vendor of the document management
system.
