Figure number changes to odd numbers
No, track changes are not on.
The group that I work with thinks (they are not sure) that this document was done in ileaf or some other program and was converted to word. I noticed right after figure caption 27, on a few lines down that I cannot select the numbering (1, 2, 3 etc) on the toolbar (it is gray). Would there be a hidden something or other there? For the time being we just broke the automatic links and fixed the hard typed figure numbers and callouts....... what a mess ! thanks for any suggestions. I'm not sure how to explain this document... |

Figure number changes to odd numbers
Hi Jo
How are the figure numbers created? There are two possibilities: they are a field, or they are automatic paragraph numbering. To find out, click in or near one of the figure numbers and do Alt-F9. If the numbering is created as a field, then Alt-F9 will expose any field codes, something like: { SEQ Figure \* ARABIC } . If the numbering is created as paragraph numbering, then you won't see any field codes. Post back and let us know which it is, and, if there are field codes, let us know what the field codes say. Hope this helps. Shauna Kelly. Microsoft MVP. http://www.shaunakelly.com/word "jo" wrote in message ... No, track changes are not on.
