Publisher 2003 document title
I am giving my girlfriend a hand writing a book. Its currently in
Word but I'd like to starting making it more "book like" so wanted to switch to Publisher. I used the import wizard and all appeared fine except that at the top of each page and on the title page it has "Document Title" rather than the title from the Word properties. I tried changing the title in Publisher using File-Properties but this doesn't change whats at the top of each page. It doesn't even change what appears on new pages. Am I missing something here? Are you really supposed to edit each page, and each new page, to set the title? Thanks James |

Publisher 2003 document title
A small child turns to Ed, and exclaims: "Look! Look! A post from James
Martin !"... Am I missing something here? Are you really supposed to edit each page, and each new page, to set the title? If you change the title on the first page, do the rest of the pages follow suit? -- Ed Bennett - MVP Microsoft Publisher http://www.mvps.org/the_nerd/ Before reading this message, view the disclaimer: http://mvps.org/the_nerd/disclaim.htm |

Then I changed the title on the first page. But that had no effect on subsequent pages. I tried the same thing again but this time included a title page and then changed the title on that. Again this had no effect on subsequent pages. I tried setting the document title in properies... no joy! I tried all the above again but this time I changed the design after changing the title to see if it would give Publisher a kick... but it made no difference. Thanks James |

Publisher 2003 document title
Put the title on the Master Page (Ctrl+m), adjust your text boxes on the foreground.

Publisher 2003 document title
Thanks for the suggestion. But this seems to need even more work than
editing the title on each page. After editing the master page I then have to move all the boxes down on each page and then I still have to remove "Document Title" from inside the boxes. Its a great shame that Publisher cannot maintain this title in a way that doesn't require editing each page. Lee "Mary Sauer" wrote in message ...
