Default How do I protect cells or a range of cells in excel spreadsheet?

I need users to enter some data into an excel spreadsheet I have created. But
I want to protect some cells so that the formulas and other information
within these cells cannot be changed or overtyped by the users. How do I
protect cells and / or a range of cells?

Hi Abundance

Try This

Select all cells

Format Cells , select "Protection" Tab and Tick the "Locked" Check box
Then select the the cells you wish to stay editable.
Format Cells , select "Protection" Tab and "UNTICK" the "Locked" Check box
Then select...
Tool Protection Protect Worksheet.

apply the above to each worksheet.

The locked cells only become locked after the protection is applied.
