Default the key is incorrect

i have the original office home and student 2007 cd
am trying to install it to my laptop sony. windows vista
but every time it asked me for the key i typed it but in vain
it keeps saying the key is incorrec. verify that you have the correct key
then retype it.

am saying the truth if i told you that i've trying this for more than one
year,
i took the laptop and the cd to store where i purchased the product, they
said to me that i have to take it to sony centre
and when i took it to sony they also told me that it's the store
responsibility to install the office properly.but what they did then, sony
installed the trial version and said that they fixed the problem but in fact
they didn't.

now, please i need urgent help. you can't imagine that one purchased a new
laptop with office original cd a year and three months ago and couldn't use
it till now.

First and foremost, you need to make sure you don't have any trial
versions on your system. Sony have the tendency (like all other
computer manufacturers) to load all new systems with 60 day trial
versions of Office 2007. This should be removed completely before
attempting to reinstall the boxed versions for which you must have
paid.

So remove the trial version; reboot the system and then start installing
again.

Just to add to what EN59CHV posted . It is important that you also remove the
Activation Assistant along with the Trial

thanks for ur interest but i realy did remove the trial version and
reinstalled the original but still saying the key is incorrect even when i
tried most of the possibilities since the key isn't written clearly. you
need to make bigger about 4 or 5 times to see the numbers and the letters.

Just to be clear. The key you're using is on the H&S case or on the bottom
of the laptop?

Hey Mickey Mouse,

Office keys are NEVER at the bottom of the laptop even if it is what is
called OEM. This is quite obvious because if the key is on the laptop then
idiots like you can steal it.

So please make a note of this so that you can help Microsoft Customers
properly.
