Default Outlook Express tries to install something when posting to newsgro

I use Outlook Express for online college courses. When answering posts in
the various course newsgroups, when I hit send, the Windows Installer opens
up, and OE says it is "preparing to install". This takes anywhere from 1 - 3
minutes, at which point the installer screen disappears, and the spell check
for the message begins.

This occurs with each new message. If I have to stop the spell check for
some reason and elect not to send the message, then go back to it and send,
the Installer does not open up again.

When originally installed, OE was using the spell check dictionary from
Office 2003, and this was not happening. It only started when I upgraded to
Office 2007 several months ago.

Any idea what may be causing this?

Outlook Express used the spell checker in Office (Word, specifically). With
Office 2007, though, OE can't use that. One needs to install a third-party
spelling checker for OE. There are at least two freeware ones available.

(2) If you have a previous version of Office, see this:

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in Outlook
Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system:

Outlook Express cannot use the MS Word spell check in Office 2007.
Downloading a free spell check is the simplest way around this.
