Do you mean that your typing slows down?

Hi Brian, Not particularly, it is just that when I add two or three or so
names in
BCC it just hangs for several seconds between each one before entering, and
does the same thing when I press send?
A friend of mine said I may have a bug, so I should do a complete check of C
drive?
I am about to try that??

Do you mean there's a delay before Outlook resolves the address (i.e.,
underlines it)? Is this with a Contacts folder in a local PST?

Yes Brian, thats exactly what its doing, if I receive an email from a person
that I think is worth sharing I forward it on by going into my contacts and
choosing names from there and sending it off.
I have been doing that for ages, it is only the last couple of weeks I have
had this problem? "Oh" as I said, a friend thought I should scan my PC, which
I did and it did not resolve the problem.
I am not sure what a PST is?

PST = "Personal Folders file", used when your only accounts are POP accounts
(and at other times, as well). I should have asked if you were using an
Exchange mailbox to store your data.

Hi again, I simply have a list of contact friends and family, which when I am
going to forward an email on I just select "forward" and choose names from
that list to send to, as for an exchange mailbox? I simply use my ISP which
is Optusnet here in Australia and Microsoft Outlook.
Sorry if I am a bit vague....not as young as I used to be :-)

OK, you're using a PST and a POP/SMTP account.

If this were happening to me, I think I'd try a new mail profile. I'm not
sure it would help, but a new profile addresses many problems not
addressable any other way. See this:
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm . Connect your existing PST
top this new profile; don't start a new PST.

Thank you Brian, it all seems pretty involved, but if all else fails I will
give a try.
I thought if Outlook was corrupted could I not simply put in my Win. XP disc
and re-run it?

GIive it a try, even if nothing else has failed.

Sorry, that's not a correct assumption.
