Default Office 2007 HSE

I have office 2007 HSE installed and also outlook 2003. Since i instaled
some updates on the computer i have been getting a warning dialog box every
time i try to start an office program.
It mes up first as a windows installer box and the message is that it is
gathering information. Then it changes to Microsoft Office Home and Student
box and the message is Please Wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office
Home and Student 2007.
This comes up every time i open word or excel etc. It also comes up if i
locate a file using windows explorer and double click the file to open it.
Even if the relevant program is already open the same dialog boxes appear.
Very frustrating. Have tried cleaning the registry etc but nothing seems to
work. Also did the Office Diagnostics and no problems reported apart from
being told that the settings in the trust centre for downloading a file to
determine system problems is incorrect. This is actually ticked to allow the
file be downloaded but obviously it is not .

Any Suggestions
