Default New Acer Computer with out a disk drive

How do you download an existing copy of office home and student 2007 onto
acer computer without disk drive. I have bought the original in the box and
it is good for up to 3 PC's. How do I go online to download. I have my
product key

I assume you have a CD/DVD in a box and you want to install it on your system.
I also assume that your system hasn't got a CD/DVD drive. Assuming my
assumptions are correct, you now need to buy an external CD/DVD drive which can
be connected via a USB port so that you can install your product.

I am surprised that the new system you have bought hasn't got the CD/DVD drive
because all machines these days come with a basic CD drive.

Some new cheap machines (for kids) do not come with CD/DVD drives now. Home
and student is a version I bought for desktop computer with CD/DVD drive and
now I have a New Acer without one for my kid to carry around at school and I
want to put Home and Student on. Do you know if I can go into Microsoft and
give them my existing Key and download a version offline.

You can create a Shared Folder on a network resource, and then load from
there.

You can copy the CD to a thumb drive and load from there.

The new netbooks do not have a CD drive. They don't have any drives. You
have to have an external USB, or a thumb drive.

The design intent of the machine is to surf the web, it's not really
intended for computing. I loaded Office '03 on mine, and it runs fine. I
loaded from a network resource -- I have a wireless network that I loaded
from.
