Office 2007 Icons?
I recently purchased and installed Office 2007. I have no icons on the
navigation bar, making it difficult to figure out which buttons are which. This is not the "quick Access" bar at the top of the page, but the tool bar (insert, cut, paste, etc, etc.) Anyone have any idea how to ativate these icons/pictures? |

I think the question you are asking is why I don't have Office '07. I can't speak to the robnustness of Vista and Office '07, or IE8 for that matter, but I find the user experience is so much different than in previous versions that I resist making the change(s). I have a Vista machine, and I don't like it nearly as much as my XP Pro machines. I uninstalled the trial version of Office '07 and loaded Office '03 instead. I skipped over IE7 on my XP machines, but I have loaded IE8 and am learing how to get along with it. I'd like ot help you out, but I think there's no help for you this time. |

Has the ribbon (what would have been the toolbar in previous versions of Office) been minimized? If so right click on the line where it says Home, Insert, etc and then uncheck Minimize the Ribbon. Let us know if this fixes your issue, otherwise post back with a little more information like can you actually open and edit files in any of the Office programs. |

Office 2007 Icons?
I haven't minimized the ribbon - i think my question isn't worded correctly.
Within the ribbon there are the various commands that usually have a descriptive picture to go along with that function. For example, on excel - if you choose the "insert graph" function from the ribbon, it will show you several options with corresponding clip art images to visually show the graph you are selecting. I am missing those images/pics. I purchased the package so I am wondering if i may have missed something in the setup. I appreciate your help -it has been driving me crazy! Office 2007 Icons?
Sorry, I don't know what could be causing your drop downs to not show up
when clicking on any of the icons on the ribbon. When I click Insert, Pie (under charts) I get a dropdown box which shows the various types of pie charts I can create. Is this what you are missing? If so, if you click on Insert then PivotTable, Table, Picture, etc. do you get any kind of dropdown menu? Does this also happen in the other Office programs? Since I don't use Office 2007 extensively I am not as familiar with it's operation as the earlier versions of Office. Hopefully after answering the questions in this last post someone will be able to help. "Jeffrey" wrote in message ... I haven't minimized the ribbon - i think my question isn't worded correctly.
