Default Joining together 2 tables in Word

How do you join together 2 tables in Word. The tables have the same column
widths.

At minimum, you delete the intervening (empty) paragraph. If that doesn't do
it, make sure that neither table is wrapped or nested and that the only
row(s) marked as (a) heading(s) is/are at the top of the first table.
