Default Available Style in Word 2003

I have a client using Word 2003. He has created a memo template. Inside
that memo template, he created a list style and it is saved with that memo
template. Whenever he opens his memo template, the list style is available
to him. But it is not available in Normal.dot. Is there a way to make
that user defined list style available in normal.dot as well?

He can copy the style from the template into Normal.dot via the Organizer:

While the template or a document that contains the list style is open,
select Tools Templates and Add-ins. Click the Organizer button in the
dialog box. On the Styles tab in the Organizer dialog box, he should now have
the styles of the active document in the leftmost list and the styles of
Normal.dot in the rightmost list. He can now copy the list style from the
left to the right list.
