Default Lock Cells in Table

Is there any way to lock just certain cells in a table
without having to go through form fields or user forms?
In WP I could simply lock a cell or combination of cells.
Is there any equivalent?

Only in Word 2003, not in any earlier version.

I was afraid that was what you would tell me. Oh well,
next year we can do that. In the meantime, I guess I'll
be doing user forms. Thanks, Anita

You may be able to do what you want if you insert an Excel spreadsheet into
the document and use that in place of a table.

Hi Anita,

In earlier versions of Word, you can 'lock' individual rows by splitting the
table and putting the rows to be protected into their own (protected)
section.

Cheers
