In Word 2007, why does the last row of a table have different formatting? The
font appears to be the same settings, but it's one shade lighter than the
rest. I'm at a loss for how to fix it.

Is this governed by the table style?

Does it print that way? My experience has been that it does not and that it
is some combination of display driver/operating system that causes it
(intermittently).

Sounds like it could be governed by a table style as Susanne suggests. On
the table tools design tab table style options group, clear the check box
before Total row.
