auto fill
i have created a table in word document. i want to have the first column auto
incremented; this column will be used as a serial column. how can this be done in word document? your prompt reply is highly appreciated. |

Abu,
I have known people using the numbering button on the standard toolbar to to that. Of course you will get all the formatting associated with it, like and indent, tab and such. You also could use a Seq field. Insert - fields - numbering category - seq - give a name to your sequence and hit OK. Then copy and paste the field into the other cells of column one and hit F9. Hope I understood your question correctly.
