How to remove and archive Fax items
I am using Win-XP fax and Fax console. Do have Outlook2003 installed,
but using Fax through Fax Console. Version 5.1, Build 2600.xpsp2.030422-1633: Service pack 1 Currently have close to 1000 faxes accumulated during the last 6 months. 1- Need to know how I can move these items into an archive folder. 2- Fax Console upon startup, apparently tries to enumerate all items in the Inbox folder of fax Console, and this takes a long time. How can I optimize my INBOX folder to avoid this delay. 3- I have tried using WIndows Explorer to go and move Fax items form appropriate Fax folder, but looks like all deleted items (that were deleted in Fax console) still exist in this folder, and there is no indication whihc ones are deleted items, and which ones are the ones I intended to keep. 4- Is there any way to select multiple items in the INBOX folder of FAX console, and move them into a different folder ?? Thanks Fred |

Faxes you have received are automatically archived in the Fax Console's
Inbox and faxes you have sent are archived in the Fax Console's Sent Items Folder. You can easily access and save these folders from Windows Explorer. The default location of these folders is: drive:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax\ Simply copy their contents into another folder. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Fred Farzan" wrote in message om... I cannot reproduce that behavior.
Items deleted from the Fax Console's Inbox are also deleted from drive:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\WindowsNT\MSFax\Inbox -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Fred Farzan" wrote in message om...
