Default word 2007 tables

I have created a table and now would like to add weight to some of the lines
between columns. I have tried everything I can think of. Help!

Select: Table Tools
Then: Design
Then select the weight you wish to use from the "Line Weight" pull-down menu.
Then select the "Draw Table" icon.
You can then draw over the lines you wish to change.
Select the "Draw Table" icon again to dismiss the drawing tool.
Hope this hepls.
