O/E keeps disconnecting my broadband connection.
Hi,
I hope somebody could please help me out with this now very annoying problem that I'm having !! I have adsl broadband and when my pc is booted up, it's not connected automatically - I have have to click on an icon that connects me to it. Once connected I can then surf the web and everything is fine. However if I try to open outlook express it prompts me to connect again to my broadband connection even though i was connected anyway. To me it seems as though when Outlook Express is started it closes the connection and then prompts me to connect to it again. This connection box also appears and prompts me to connect every time I click on Send / Receive as well. How can I fix this? I have tried Tools Options Connection... ........ and made sure the box that says 'Hang up after sending and receiving' is NOT selected. Any ideas?? Many thanks for your help in advance. |

Hi Mark,
There is another Connection setting in the properties for the mail account... Tools, Accounts, Mail tab, Mail Account, Properties, Connection tab ....Always connect to this account using ISP Connection is not meant for Internet connections. It is useful when a LAN is used. -- Tim K. aka Kuay Tim MVP - (IE/OE) Lynnwood, WA * "Mark King" wrote in message ...
