For existing tables where no styles are applied I dont see a quick way to do it and I am afraid you have to do it by hand. However, you can make separate styles for all your table attributes (eg Table Heading; Text_in_Table; Bullet_Level-1_in Table"; etc). Do this for one table. You still have to do it by hand for all the other tables, but then you can assign the appropriate style to the texts in the table, depending on its function. This is quicker than repeat every formatting manually, ensures consistency through-out and makes it a one step operation should you desire to change the style later.
HTH -- Henk PS: Assuming you have table captions with a caption style assigned, set this caption to "keep with next". This ensures that the caption is always on top of the table and avoids an ugly page break between caption and table. |

microsoft.public.word.vba.general, for assistance with this. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Arry Potter" wrote in message ...
