Default O2K3 Junk Folder IP Address

In the help file for Outlook 2003 Junk Folder it says you can add to the Safe
Sender's list using either the email address, ie, or
Internet domain.

What is the syntax for Internet domain, ie, can you use microsoft.com?

and could you use an IP address and if so what would be the syntax?

TIA -harri

You can use Microsoft.com but I don't think you can use the IP address
because these may not necessarily be static.

It would be a good idea to block emails from certain IP addresses but I
have still not managed to do this. I hate messages from China, Korea,
Brazil, Taiwan and India but there is no way to block them!.

Sure there is, if they come from one of those countries' domains. Click
ActionsJunk E-mailJunk E-mail OptionsInternational. Block the domains
you don't want and the encodings you don't want.

You can also create a rule that looks for ".jp", ".kr", ".cn", ".br", ".tw",
and the like in the headers and moves messages containing them to the Junk
E-mail folder.

enter microsoft.com - no @, no * - just the domain.

IP addy don't work... you can block countries and encodings on the
international tab.
