Transpose 180 degrees?
Hello all!
I inherited an Excel2003 spreadsheet that has historical data on it. The titles are in columns A and B, and the data is Columns C and following. The person that created the file put the data in order of most recent to oldest, instead of vice versa. IOW, July 2007 data is now in C, June is in D, etc. When I get ready to enter August data, I have to insert a column and copy formulas over, check them to make sure they are correct, etc... (basically, a big pain!) What I'd like to do is re-create *(and revamp, but that's another story) the spreadsheet so that historical data is left to right instead of right to left. I know there is a "transpose" on paste special, but that only does a 90 degree transposition, and I need 180. Can it be done, or am I relegated to re-entering all the data (or copying column by column)???? Thanks in advance for all suggestions and assistance. |

Hi Wanda,
Make sure your column headers are real Excel dates, not just text. Select your data (including the headers) in column C and further, DataSortOptionsSort left to right -- Kind regards, Niek Otten Microsoft MVP - Excel "Wanda" wrote in message ... | Hello all! | | I inherited an Excel2003 spreadsheet that has historical data on it. Highlight the cells with the formulas then copy Paste
special then select formula. This should copy all of your formulas at once. gls858 Wanda wrote: Thanks!!!!! that worked GREAT!!!
