Outlook 2007 message view problem.
Hi,
I have a few users (not all) that when they turn on the advanced tab in Outlook 2007 and change the message view from "messages" to "unread messages in this folder" and then back again all they see is a column showing the message size and nothing else. Okay they can add the columns in view again and it works fine until the machine is rebooted and then the problem re-appears. All latest patches are installed. Anyone know a fix? Thanks in advance, Adam. |

Outlook 2007 message view problem.
Tried resetting the view on that folder already?
If that doesn't work, you can try resetting all the views back to default by starting Outlook with the cleanviews switch; Start- Run; outlook.exe /cleanviews (note the space in the command) -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "Adam" wrote in message ... Outlook 2007 message view problem.
Thanks for your reply. Tried both your options and still the same issue. One
thing i did notice though is it says "arrange by custom" at the top when i change the view. Not sure if that is related? "Roady [MVP]" wrote: Tried resetting the view on that folder already? Outlook 2007 message view problem.
It would still suggest that the message view has not been reset correctly.
They are changing it from the "Messages" view to the "Unread Messages In This Folder" view and then back to the "Messages" view via the view selector in the Advanced Toolbar? Can you reset the Messages view via; View- Current View- Define Views...- select Messages- button Reset- button Apply View Which mail account type are they using? -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "Adam" wrote in message ...
