Default Word should NOT open docs in Reading Layout. "Feature" STINKS!

When I open a Word document from Outlook, it defaults to open in the Reading
Layout. In order to stop this from happening, I have to change it in Tools |
Options. Why oh why have you made this the default? In my opinion, this
"feature" STINKS! Based on my google search, I am not the only one who
thinks so. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update Word 2003 so that the Reading Layout
is not the default!!!

No changes will be made to Word 2003 when MS is already at work on Office 15
(the one that will succeed Office 2010). You only have to change the option
one time, and it's not that onerous. And if you don't open attachments
directly, you never have to encounter Reading Layout view. Some people
apparently find it very helpful, and its role has actually been beefed up in
Word 2010, where (as in Word 2007), it is called Full Screen Reading view.
