Default Problems with Visio 2000 and Windows XP Professional?

visio 2000 stops responding for a length of time and then comes back. I have
a newer Dell laptop with XP Professional O/S and office 2003. Is there an
issue that would cause this and is there a way to work around it.

sounds like the system might be running out of memory, or is very busy. How
much memory do you have?

I have a 3 Gig Processor with I believe a 500 MHz FSB and 512 DDR RAM.
Granted the Program is using about 85k. Over half the time Visio is the
only program running besides the usuals like Anti-Virus Software.

IMHO 512M is the minimum for XP-Pro and Visio, I use a 1G. How complex is
the drawing (recomputes can take some time on complex documents)?
