Default "Black-out" of line being typed...

I get a "black-out" of the line I am typing, in Word
2002. Example.., I click the Windows "Start" button. I
click on Microsoft Word (2002) on the menu. When Word
2002 launches and presents the "new document" screen, I
begin to type. At this point, as soon as a key is tapped,
a "black-out" of the entire line occurs. Regardless of
how much typing I do, I cannot see the characters. It is
as if the entire line that is being typed upon, has
been "hightlighted" in black. I have run the "detect and
repair" mode several times. I have un-installed the
entire package twice. Still, I cannot use word 2002. I am
quite used to Word Perfect, but Word 2002 seems like
junk. Can anyone help????

Try this;
See "WD2002: A Black Bar Appears Across the Page When You Type" at
