Well, if you had said that in your first post, my answer would have been
different: In Word 2007, the Format tab is a "contextual" tab. That is, it appears only when the selected object needs formatting tools. Those include pictures, AutoShapes, clip art, WordArt, and so forth. Similarly, the Design and Layout tabs that you mentioned are contextual, usually appearing when the selection is in a table. If you move the cursor to plain text, they'll disappear. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. I cannot find the format tab that is supposed to be next to Vi
Yeh I figured out the contextual thing - boy they really made 2007 harder to
work with. I can't find anything I need, the tools menu, the styles menu for changing formats, etc. Why do they make this stuff for rocket scientists? They really screwed up with this version... it is way to difficult to use. Thx for your input. Umm if you go to the Home Tab there are two sections - Font, where you can change Fonts, and over on the R/H side, Styles where you can change Styles. Quite visible really, if you only LOOK.... -- Asking a question?
