Default How do I 'keep source formating'??

When inserting a powerpoint presentation into another I
am having problems keeping the formating of the inserted
presentation i.e. if the presentation I am inserting into
has a blue background and white writing, but the
presentation I want to insert has a red background with
white writing in a different font how do I stop it
reverting to presentations format i'm inserting into?

Usually there is a button which allows me to 'keep source
formating' but the version of PP i'm using doesn't seem
to have this. Any ideas?

Many Thanks

The "keep source formatting" was introduced into powerpoint with version 2002/XP.

If you are using powerpoint 97 or 2000 then this feature is not available.

For workarounds see
