french spellcheck

Hi ,
i seem to have an unusual problem with outlook express 6
just recently the spell check kept saying everything was spelt wrong , even
though it was right
upon further investigation toolsoptionsspelling
I found the selected language was french
and in the drop down menu french is the only language one can select no
other choices
...........merde!
Any ideas
i am running xp can't find an option to reinstall OE

A Microsoft Office update has caused the OE spell checker to be in French.
You will have to install a non Microsoft spell check program.
There are several checkers that have been recommended, but I don't have the
list right now.

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in Outlook
Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system:

Outlook Express cannot use the MS Word spell check in Office 2007.
Downloading a free spell check is the simplest way around this.

No, not unusual. A Google search on '+"outlook express" +french
+spellcheck' would turn up LOTS of pasts discussions starting from
whenever Office 2007 was released and OE users started installing it.

Outlook Express never came with a spelling checker, It borrowed the
spelling files from Word. However, with Word 2007, Outlook Express
cannot use the English, German, or Spanish spelling files.
