Add Ink Annotations Tool Does Not Function
The stylus on my tablet functions fine as a mouse. It also functions fully in
the Windows Journal software. However, it does not function fully in the MS Office 2003 suite (which came pre-installed on the tablet.) The input function works... when the stylus moves to an input area the text recognition input tool pops up and functions. However, the "Add Ink Annotations" tool does not function. When it is selected, it LOOKS as if it is working fine. However, it has no effect on the stylus. This occurs throughout the Office suite. What can I do to get this functionality working? Thanks |

Add Ink Annotations Tool Does Not Function
Bump nor Bumpety Bump do anything in newsgroups. If your original
message was not replied to, then no one who read it knew the answer. Perhaps you may try posting it again? Brett wrote: Bumpety Bump? |

Add Ink Annotations Tool Does Not Function
Hi Brett,
If you've checked the PC makers website for updated drivers, and have reviewed the following items through the Windows control panel Add/Remove Programs: Microsoft Office 2003 listing, [Change] to see if all of the 'Alternate Input' tools are listed as 'Run from my PC' in the detailed features change list. Regional and Language Settings=Languages=Details 'Installed services' lists the Ink and Write/Draw pad items for your default keyboard/language choice then you may also want to post in the TabletPC discussion group through the link below. ============ "Brett" wrote in message ... Add Ink Annotations Tool Does Not Function
Hi Bob. Thanks for the response. I've tried looking where you suggested...
Add/Remove Programs: Microsoft Office 2003 listing, [Change] to see if all of the 'Alternate Input' tools are listed as 'Run from my PC' in the detailed features change list. I have no listing here for "Alternate Input Tools" at all. Regional and Language Settings=Languages=Details 'Installed services' lists the Ink and Write/Draw pad items for your default keyboard/language choice Installed Services does NOT list anything which looks like it refers to my situation. I have been to the HP site looking for drivers, posting on their forums, etc. to no avail. I will check the link you provided and see if anyone is any help there. Thanks again for the input. |
