When I try to open or save as, computer locks. I tried editing registry, not.
Link to
Easy Fix: Visit http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm ; and scroll
doesn't work.

Used task master to end verclsid.exe, go one folder deeper, repeat until
desired file in opened. Ouch that is time comsuming.

I have finally removed patch, KB908531. so have a security hole, but I can
use my office applications. That is only thing that worked and I do not have
any more time.

The fix
Problems in Windows Explorer or the Windows shell after you install
security update MS06-015 (15 Apr-06)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/918165

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms06-015.mspx has
been revised to v1.1 to reflect the issues in KB918165 and now points
to the KB918165.

Mary,
I got my computer working again after removing the security patch and went
to bed about 12:30 am this morning.
When I booted my computer this morning, the security got replaced through
automatic updates.
OK let's try some more. Both of your links seem to end the same place I was
working last night.

Since there was 60 items I couldn't wait for, I was able to do a work around
at cost in time and emotions.

I am off to investigate Open Office.

Ernie
