How do I insert a hard space that keeps characters on same line
I often use characters that I need to keep on the same line. For example, §
25 refers to a section of a document. I need to insert a space that does not allow a line feed before 25. In WordPerfect, this was called a hard space. How does one do this in Word? |

A nonbreaking space can be inserted with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+spacebar, or through the Special Characters tab of the Insert Symbol dialog.
