Default VFAT

I really hope someone can help me! I'm new to this site but I'm having a
problem with my pc. I am unable to start up windows properly because I think
my anti virus thing has deleted an important file. I am getting VFAT Device
Initialization Failed message. I have used the information provided by this
site on the matter and nothing seems to be working. I have my windows cd but
I do not have a start up disk and I can only seem to use ms-dos. I understand
that I need to extract the missing file from the disk but do not know the
correct commands to do this.

Thank you

You dont mention your o/s, which would be usefull.
If win9* perhaps you may get more help by posting to the ng for your o/s
version, as this is an Office ng

But may be this helps?
