Hi, I hope you all are doing well.

After creating a template using the forms toolbar text block and protecting
it as a form, what do you do to prevent from losing data typed into the text
block if you have to unprotect and the reprotect the form. For example, I
have a template made from the forms text field. When completing the form
derived from the template, I found I mispelled some of the text in the form.
When I unprotect the form to make the change and reprotect the form the data
I typed in the text fields disappears.

Is there a way to prevent that from happening?

TIA.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/...lfResetOff.htm.

What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Check this
in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at
http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles.

Hope this helps,
