Default Inserted sound in ppt/pps doesn't work

Hi! I use Power Point 2003 and system windows XP, and when I try to insert a
sound file in a powerpoint presentation, it doesn't play sound (actually, on
the right window, in Custom Animation, there is a vertical bare that shows
some activity, but no sound. I tried on another computer, and it was fine,
with the same files (no matter, mp3 ori tracks, (in the same folder with the
presentation, by the way). it worked, but on my computer no. I did it more in
the past, on my computer, also with this configuration, and it was no
problem. I don't understand what it is. I read about embeding the sound in
pps, but I can't pass the first step, palying inserted sound in ppt. Thank
you in anticipation for possible answers.

Your question may be better answered in a PowerPoint newsgroup which is
appropriate to your problem. This newsgroup is dedicated to the Microsoft
Access database product. The Microsoft website may have misdirected you.

Thank you for reply. I realised that it was the inappropriate newsgroup fo
my question, but it was very hard to open the "new question" window in
powerpoint. at that time. But finally I did it. Thanks anyway.
