That could be your video driver. It happened to me. Did you just install
Publisher?

No, I came installed on the compac computer I ordered at staples. up until
about 8 months ago, the gridlines showed. Then I had to use the low vision
accessiblity features for a while and i think, somewhere, in the using of
these, I did something that caused the lines to dissappear. It is possible
that it happened during a regular update of microsoft products, which I check
every month or so. Is there a way to check the video card? What did you do.
Thanks for your responding.

If high contrast is enabled in the Accessibility options you could lose the ability
to see the guidelines.
To test the video driver
Slide the acceleration down on your adapter, control panel, display folder, settings
tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab.
If by sliding down the acceleration solves the issue, go to the manufacturer's web
site of your graphics card and look around for an upgraded driver.

-- It worked! High contrast was checked. I lost the picture I had for my
desktop, but hey, a small thing. I'll try to get it back. Thanks so much
for your help. P.S. I tried to do the video card things but was too
intimidated. Thank goodness for you young'uns with computer genuis genes.

Mary,

Should we tell him that we aren't exactly "young'uns" or shall we just allow
him to think we are? ;-)
