Deleting duplicate entries in Excel list
I work with a list of about 3500 entries in Excel that is updated every 2
weeks. Is there any way to easily delete out duplicate entries without manually sorting the list and deleting them one at a time? |

DataFilterAdvanced Filter.
Check "unique records only" and "copy to a new location". You can copy to another worksheet if you wish. See Debra Dalgleish's site for more info with pictures. http://www.contextures.on.ca/xladvfilter01.html Gord Dibben Excel MVP On Tue, 3 May 2005 09:47:10 -0700, "ticephotos" wrote: I work with a list of about 3500 entries in Excel that is updated every 2 weeks. Data - Filter - Advanced Filter... - check unique records only
if you filter in-place, you can later unfilter if you copy to a new distination, the duplicates are really deleted -- Gary's Student "ticephotos" wrote: I work with a list of about 3500 entries in Excel that is updated every 2 weeks.
