Link to other worksheet fails.

This question is a bit long winded, but I hope someone can help.

I have a Workbook that’s linked to another work book on the server at work
“P� drive.
When I open the first work book “Bill Sheet Log� and go to the cell “C2�
that’s linked to the other sheet “Twinwire Estimating Sheet� the formula
looks like this- ='P:\Contracts Quoted\Twinwire Pitch\[Twinwire Estimating
Sheet.xls]Start Sheet'!$C$5. If I open “Twinwire Estimating Sheet� first then
go to open “Bill Sheet Log� the formula looks like this-
='\\wm01srv\public\Contracts Quoted\Twinwire Pitch\[Twinwire Estimating
Sheet.xls]Start Sheet'!$C$5.
When they are both like this and I change [Twinwire Estimating
Sheet.xls]Start Sheet'!$C$5.
“Bill Sheet Log� C2 doesn’t change, but sometimes when both are open the
formula looks like this- ='[Twinwire Estimating Sheet.xls]Start Sheet'!$C$5
and when the formula is like this “Bill Sheet Log� C2 changes when I change
“[Twinwire Estimating Sheet.xls]Start Sheet'!$C$5�.
My question is what do I need to do so the cell changes every time I change
the other cell, can I lock this link?

I think you need to tell Excel to update external link values. In 2003
It's Edit | Links | Update Values.

AFAIK, you can't make this link "live", but you can tell the requesting
sheet to automatically update external values when it is opened.

Do you know how to get this in 2007?
