How can I change the default meeting time when creating a meeting
How can I change the default meeting time displayed when creating a new
meeting request? When I generate a meeting request, the start time default is 12:00 AM even though the calender is set from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. I would like it to be 8:00 AM. |

When you double-click a view of the calendar what does not have a time scale in it, the item that opens is an all-day event, which will run from 12 AM to 12 AM. You must be in a view that shows the time scale (i.e., Day or Work Week) in order to permit double-clicking to give you a start time. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

I don't quite follow your response. I am generating a new meeting request by selecting File - New - Meeting Request. When the meeting request opens, the 'Start Time' displayed is 12:00 AM, no matter when I attempt to do this. Perhaps another clue to my problem, when I attempt to change the time block displayed (Tools - Options - Calendar Options) 'Start time' from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, left click OK, left click (Options) OK, leave the calendar and return, the time block displayed for the day still starts at 12:00 AM. What if you pre-select the meeting time in the calendar first by highlighting the area where you weant the meeting to be created? Perhaps another clue to my problem, when I attempt to change the time block displayed (Tools - Options - Calendar Options) 'Start time' from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, left click OK, left click (Options) OK, leave the calendar and return, the time block displayed for the day still starts at 12:00 AM. Does it recolor the view so that the non-working time is slightly darker than the working time? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
