working with folders offline
Hi,
I am using Outlook 2007 and would like to move emails to other folders and to delete them while working offline. When I try a message comes up to say it is not possible offline. Is this right or is it just that I have not discovered the correct method? |

Are you using an Exchange Server mailbox or an IMAP mailbox?

What type of email account do you have?

Not 100% sure but I don't think you can move items around while offline and
you can mark items for deletion while offline and purge them when back online. "Joan Mary" wrote in message ... I am using an IMAP mailbox. |

Oh dear, I obviously don't know what the difference is. My emails come
through Hotmail Live but the account shows on the send/receive settings in Outlook as MAPI ( I think, I can't get in to look at it at the moment) and I thought that must be the same as IMAP. MAPI and IMAP are different, yes. Different connection protocols between client and server. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
