Default Email arrives in 2 different pst files

I had to recreate a users Outlook profile when her PST file got close to 2
gig and gave send recieve errors. Now some email arrives in her original PST
file the rest in her new profile PST file. Old profile was removed new
profile created and default set to new PST.

So was there a reason for not using Archive on the origonal pst, or simply
adding a new pst and setting that as default?

She was getting an error everytime the send\recive button was pressed. but
was still reciveing and sending Email fine. Research on the web suggested
this has the only correction. It did cure the problem. Then found out her PST
was 1.7 gig.

There's no way for mail to be delivered to a PST that is not in the active
mail profile. Describe exactly how you created that new profile and
connected a new PST to it.

Care to be more explicit?

Imported all Emails from old PST to new profile PST.

Never import from a PST. It's completely unnecessary and often leads to
mail profile problems.

What type(s) of account(s) are you using?

POP3 account. So how would you move old emails to new PST file?

You create the new pst, then within outlook copy data to the new pst, and
set the new as default mail store.
Close the old pst, if neccessary

Or, as an alternative to what DL says, simply use the old PST directly in
the new mail profile as the delivery location.
