Default How do I completely uninstall all Outlook 2000 files & folders?

Due to an attack of stupidity while doing a new install, I need to delete all
files associated with Outlook 2000.
I have uninstalled the program and deleted the Office folder from the
registry. The Office folder has also been deleted. I rebooted the pc after
doing all of this. I then reinstalled Outlook 2000 and get the same error,
so there obviously are more files somewhere that I need to delete to get a
clean install.
I appreciate all help!

You mention that you're getting 'the same error'... which error might that
be?

There are several. The first is "Unable to open your default memail folders.
Outlook could not start because a location to send and receive mail could not
be found. To add a location, such as personal folder file, double-click the
Mail icon in Windows Control Panel". Before I am able to click ok on that
one, another pops up "There was an error reading your "John's email" Internet
email service. Click the Tools menu, click Services, delete the service and
then create a new one." Then I click ok on the first message and get "Would
you like to open your default File System folder instead?" If I click no,
nothing opens. If I click yes, I get "Outlook could not start because a
location to send and receive mail could not be found. To add a location,
such as a personal folder file, double click on the Mail icon in Windows
Control Panel." When I click ok on that one, I get the Outlook window with
the Shortcut bar on the left, but when I click on an icon I get "Unable to
display this folder" at the top and in the body of the window (where the
folder should be) it says "Unable to display the folder. The folder no longer
exists."

Have you tried deleting & recreating your profile in the Control Panel's
Mail applet? Seems like that would be a good start for you since it seems
like you've got issues with missing PSTs & such.

Yes. I've done that several times.

I actually had the program installed correctly once. The pc is replacing
another, so I needed to import the .pst files from the old pc to the new one.
There were over 1600 emails in the pst files on the old pc, so rather than
use a flash drive, I saved the pst files to the hard drive of the old pc and
imported them using the network connection to the new pc. However, I forgot
to set up the same special folders in Outlook on the new pc that were on the
old one, so the transfer stopped in the middle. The next time I started
Outlook on the new pc is when I started getting the errors. It's as though
it's trying to use the network connection to the old pc to bring up the
folders.
BTW - I'm not usually this imcompetent. I've set up and transferred many
Outlook files. This is just one of those times where stupidity seemed to be
the theme of the day!!

Thanks!
Sherry

That's possible only with Corporate/Workgroup mode. The default
installation mode is Internet Mail Only.

Try the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. It might be able to do that.

Thanks for the idea, but that didn't solve the problem.
