Default All documents have locked. How can I unlock?

I can no longer open new pages or modify existing files. A message flashes
that I cannot modify because the document is locked. All my documents are
like that. I'd worked with them earlier in the day with no problem. Why did
this happen and how can I unlock my documents? I use my laptop with Word
only; it is not used for the internet. I have had this laptop for two months.

A trial version of Word that has expired?

Perhaps your Trial has expired, or you failed to activate?

In Word, assuming Word 2007, click the Orb Word Options Resources
What does it say in About Microsoft Office Word 2007?
If it states Trial then its Expired
Otherwise 'Activate Office'

Either you have not activated Word or it is a trial version that has time
expired. The solution is to buy the full version. You may want to look at
Office Students & Teachers version if you don't need Outlook.
