Default mail rules for urls

how can i define a rule referring to the actual embedded url.
the condition "with specific words in the body" will filter the text of the
link (e.g. "click here") but not the actual url.

the url itself is seen in the message source (which can be seen in the
message properties), but i dont know how to apply the rule to the source.

thanks!

Default mail rules for urls

You cant make a rule on messages source info, but you can on a link in an
e-mail.

Where the message body contains specific words
Delete it & Stop processing more rules

I made the rule for this link. I only added the word blakjak and the rule
did pick up on it and sent it to Deleted Items.

Message rules will only search for displayed text. If you don't see it
on the screen, the message rule won't find it.

In the example Bruce gives, that works because it's a plain text message
and everything is displayed text.

But in an HTML message, the actual URL is not findable by the message
rule. In that case it would only work if the displayed text were also
the URL. Some messages do that, but many don't.

thanks for your responses.
but i understand the problem -- and so far have not found a solution!

i mentioned the message source as a possible way to get to a solution,
because there we will find the actual url.

solution anyone?

You can't apply a rule to the message source, only displayed text as Mike
pointed out.
