Default SmartArt Graphics won't print

I have a Office 2003 powerpoint slide that contains an organization chart
that has been converted to an Office 2007 presentation. The org chart was
converted to a smartart graphic. When I print the slide, the smartart graphic
does not print. The other items on the slide print, but not the converted
chart. Can anyone help me with this please?

I printed in Black and White and color and get the same results. There is a
smudge to the right of the page that appears to be the graphic in a tiny
compressed smudge. The only reason I think the smudge is the graphic is
because the last mark in the smudge is a valid character that i can read.

Well, I'd try updating printer drivers, and I'd also try going to Office
Button | PPT Options and turning on "high quality" in the Print section.

We had another poster recently with a similar problem, but I wasn't able to
resolve it. Neither was HP, it seems (which is the type of printer that user
has). I don't know what else to suggest, though.

If you save the file as a PDF, does it print then? What if you save it as a
97-2003 PowerPoint file? Will that print? (I don't think that will really
make a difference unless you're actually printing in PPT 2003 or prior,
though.)
