Alternate row colours
Making Word 2003 template with table default styles.
1. How best to make table library? Seperate document to select from a range of already created examples or add various in text boxes and users delete what they don't need? 2. Is there any way to set default so that new rows take on alternative colours? My work around is to make a huge table with too many rows so that users delete what is not used rather than understand how to change colour fill on each new row to particular RGB colour? -- Neil Young Young@Art Australia |

Alternate row colours
Hi Neil,
Excel is much better suited to this sort of thing. With conditional formattting, you could have up to 4 colours, and have them adjust automatically if rows were inserted or deleted. You could embed such a worksheet in your Word document. Your users will need to learn how to adjust the visible range to account for changes in the number of used rows, though. -- Cheers macropod [MVP - Microsoft Word] "Neil" wrote in message ... Alternate row colours
Table styles can include alternate row shading, if that's what you're
asking. Sample tables can be saved as AutoText entries. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA "Neil" wrote in message ... You could make use of table styles; they will let you specify banded rows.
Alternatively, save example tables as AutoText entries for easy insertion. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Neil" wrote in message ... Making Word 2003 template with table default styles. 1.
